Oh wow. Your entire post is seriously so motivating! I Do Zumba To Burn Off The Crazy Shirt. I’ve been meaning to get back to serious CICO after falling off for a vacation (big mistake). And reading your story has made me want to get back on track, especially because I take the experimentation route too. Thank you for sharing, and congratulations on hitting your goals, and on the maintenance. And btw, your job/life sounds awesome! So glad it came across as motivating! Yeah, it can be amazingly difficult to get back into rigorous tracking once you’ve gotten out of the groove of it
How Much Weight Can You Lose With Zumba in 1 Month?
isn’t it? But view it as cool data and interesting experiments and I’m sure you can get yourself going! I do feel lucky about the work travel (though tbh it gets really tiring too.) The minus has been no job security and uncertain income, but I’ve ended up being able to go to such cool places, and it’s awesome to feel like I might be making a difference. (I work with a lot of endangered species, and I teach a lot of students) I have new projects spinning up on Argentinian whales that breed off the Valdes Peninsula, Galapagos tortoise and Tasmanian spiny echidnas, plus another project that would require visiting all the major natural history museums of Europe, and am just drooling already at the possibility of getting to go to those places. A ton of grant-writing though and there has been a lot of sitting time recently (in fact that’s when I started really putting on weight – when I switched to a job that has a ton of proposal-writing).

I forgot to put in the post that I invested in a sit-stand movable desk that goes up and down, to get more standing time in. Ikea has just come out with a pretty good sit-stand desk that is fairly affordable. I’ll have to put a permanent ban on tortilla chips in my house, too. Nacho cheese chips are like crack to me. I’ve tried portioning them out in Ziplock bags but that doesn’t work for me, LOL. I also like that you eat a small breakfast. I’m never hungry in the morning, even when I’m working out, so I limit my breakfast to 15 almonds and after I work out a 100-calorie protein beverage. I prefer to save most of my calories for dinner. Works for me. Yeah, some foods are just too hazardous to have around. And it’s different for different people – like, I never binge on sugar or chocolate, but I seem to be just totally helpless with the whole category of salty chips. The only ones I keep around now are those Crunchmaster ones that I have with the tinned herring, but even those are dangerous.

Congrats on the weight loss and for reminding everyone that slip-ups are ok and can be overcome. I Do Zumba To Burn Off The Crazy Shirt. Now I didn’t go to any fancy whale studying college, but Arizona to study whales? So confused. Thank you! Good luck with your own weight loss. It’s so rewarding to get to that point where the round stomach finally goes away, the thick thighs start slimming down. I’ve finally decided that to lose these last few lbs (not sure how many, to be honest) I needed to quit the nightly beer drinking as well. I actually have about 4 (not sure, haven’t looked recently)
