With a step back, I’m happy that it was Atlanta that won. Vamos Atlanta Campeones 2018 shirt. The main reason being is that I hope that this wakes up owners who still think very small (looking at you M. Saputo). I have a football/rugby background, but I do have this passion for soccer. I played when I was younger and I started again, albeit socially, two years ago in a senior league. Goddamn is it fun and no matter the age or skill level, there is a place for you and everyone can have fun and contribute to a team’s success. The game is very beautiful to watch as well.
Can also be used with a question mark: Vamos?
There is definitely room for soccer competing with the other big four sports in North America and it doesn’t need to be in direct adversity. I’m kind of embarrassed to say this but I didn’t even know the final was on yesterday. I’m a casual watcher of the league and there wasn’t a single advertisement that I saw to let me know the final was going to be on. Telemundo is plugging the COPA final in Madrid on different channels for maximum exposure but I didn’t see a single thing for the MLS final. Kind of pissed that I missed it. Big congrats to Atlanta (and not just because I’m a Sounders fan and hate the Timbers). The city deserves this after the decades of sporting heartbreak and your club has upped the game considerably – what you’ve done in the last two years is as impressive as what we did in Seattle the first few years at the CLink, if not more so. Absolutely fantastic accomplishment.

Congrats ATLUTD fans. This city and club have redefined American soccer and are now the gold standard for every MLS team. 73k in attendance is amazing and the 50k average is also nothing short of inspirational. Enjoy as the rest of the league looks in envy of all your success. that’s because most of Miami is Latino and Latinos don’t care about NBA, MLB, or NFL that much. At least not in Miami. Not to mention Miami sports teams have been going quite downhill lately in terms of performance. I think if Inter can start off strong, they will develop a large, loyal, attending fan base. I know I’m booking my flight back home to Miami for their inaugural game as soon as I can buy tickets. I’m comparing to the large Latino culture, all the other teams let the city down and the big money that will come in. It seems to be a recipe most similar to ATL. Before the game, I was dreading the idea of either team winning. I couldn’t stand the thought of a team winning in their second year, on top of all the off-field success and pride… barf.

But now, it just feels right. Vamos Atlanta Campeones 2018 shirt. Reminds me of when Seattle came out of their championship drought with the Seahawks, and how the city came together all at once to celebrate. Congrats, Atlanta. I was very happy when Columbus beat you last year because your team was the only one I was afraid of. From top to bottom, you have a dynasty brewing, and the team that has the most fans probably deserves it. Tough to be mad at the result. We were outplayed and outdone. An excellent showing from Atlanta. I look at this as less of a loss for Portland and far more of a win for MLS soccer. 75K+ in the falcon’s stadium?? Hoping the trend continues
