That’s unreal. I think a lot of Strasburg’s career is underrated because of injuries but he’s just been incredible over his tenure with the Scherzer Strasburg 2020 Go 1-0 Every Day Shirt. I have an alternate opinion that the injuries ended up making him better. In a few of his earlier seasons, I remember his stuff being so dominant that he hadn’t had to learn to “pitch”. Max’s stuff is unreal, but what makes him so so deadly is that he locates all of his pitches perfectly, and pitches incredibly intelligently. He blows it by you and makes you look silly on breaking stuff, but he understands how to set guys up over multiple AB’s and through multiple pitches, which is something Strasburg didn’t always have to do.

Coming back from injuries has seen his velocity drop a little bit on his fastball, so he’s become masterful (and partially, I suspect due to having max as a peer in the dugout with him) at actually “pitching” since then. Maybe. That could have also just come with experience as he faced big league hitters that start to figure him out. Scherzer Strasburg 2020 Go 1-0 Every Day Shirt an interesting what-if with no definite answer. Strasburg stuff right now is still great, but its a shadow of what it was before his arm blew up the first time. Similar to what happened with Liriano.

I simultaneously don’t know what you’re saying while understanding exactly what you mean. Well if he threw 120 mph but was always 10 feet above the strike zone then his stuff would be better but his pitching would be worse. I was just trying to help explain the difference in what he was trying to explain. Oh please, look at Scherzer’s last Scherzer Strasburg 2020 Go 1-0 Every Day Shirt seasons and they are 5 of the greatest seasons by any pitcher ever. This is misleading because Scherzer had some bad/mediocre seasons at the beginning of his career and Strasburg has been consistent (yet injured).
