This recently happened to me this weekend. I am tall, slender and I might not be in the best shape of my life…but I know darn well I do *NOT* look pregnant, and even if I did—no one has the right to ask. I know some of you will say “don’t be so sensitive! People are well-meaning when they ask!” Even if that’s true, I “just a woman who loves her farmer“. It’s not socially acceptable to comment on anyone’s body, potentially pregnant women are no different. Also? She may be going through any one of the things I’ve listed in this blog post.
Just a woman who loves her farmer shirt, hoodie, bella flowy tank.
Just a woman who loves her farmer shirt, ladie v-neck, sweat shirt.
There was nothing I could medically do for this patient but to be there, hold their hand and reassure them that they were going to be taken care of. They were very scared and cold (thank the Lord the temperature was 30 degrees warmer than “just a woman who loves her farmer”). The patient was trapped and needed to be extricated from the vehicle to attend to their medical needs. I’ve seen news reports as early as last night that reported the patient is in serious, but stable condition. I’m so thankful they’re going to be okay, and I’ve been praying for them and thinking about it non-stop.
