I imagine she fought with grace and a lot less yelling and screaming than Kratos. I’m not a widow I’m a wife to a husband with wings shirt. She was definitely smaller than Kratos when they were burying her. I think Sindri respected her fighting style because not only was she brave fighting for the underdogs (Aesir & such) but she was also confident with every swing. What if her predictive sight was so clear she could see the outcome of the fight before it had even started, resulting in swift ‘beautiful’ fighting style as Kratos would put it. She probably had a Wonder Woman type build. Much like the movie. She must have approached Brok and Sindri and explained who she was and they knew she was pure of heart and made her the ax. They must’ve taken a chance and gambled right. I like the Freya comparisons. She definitely sheltered him and maybe she had good intentions but he shouldn’t have been completely sheltered.

Kratos still had his own demons to work out and maybe didn’t want to accidentally away from him a lot and went in hunting trips. I’m not a widow I’m a wife to a husband with wings shirt. Parenting is an uneasy balance, people try to make the right decisions using their own past experiences but there is no right way to do it. I’m sure Faye and Kratos tried/trying the best they could. I also have a funny feeling that she wanted them to bring her ashes to Jotenheim so her magical ashes could revive all the Giants, while also fulfilling her last wish and getting Atreus out of the bubble that she might have regretted AND getting him closer with Kratos. Damn, I can’t wait for the sequel! you’re assuming said “make me a weapon as powerful as Thor’s hammer, please. I promise I’ll be good lol”. what if all had to say to B&S was “make me a weapon that can counter Thor’s hammer”?

No? I guess? That wouldn’t be enough of a reason I would think. I’m not a widow I’m a wife to a husband with wings shirt. Treat these weapons like nukes, they made a nuke and gave it to a guy who pinky promised them he wouldn’t cause a mass genocide to an entire race. They agreed and made Mjölnir for Thor… then he used it to wipe out an entire race of people. It’s not that they feel guilty that they gave the nuke to the wrong guy, but that they made the nuke in the first place. Like a, “oh dear god what have we unleashed upon this world?” “She sought us out, in the beginning. Maybe she did ask for a weapon to counter him, and pinky promised them she totally wouldn’t use said weapon to wipe out an entire race of people just like Thor did? Would they really just throw caution to the wind and be okay with doing the exact same thing that caused them to separate in the first place? Brok told Odin(Or Thor, I can’t remember ATM) no to his face when he wanted something constructed. So it’s not as if they are forced into doing any of this.

Formatting and double checking my facts from saved files or youtube clips was the longest part. I’m not a widow I’m a wife to a husband with wings shirt. I started it before going to bed last night and finished up while drinking my morning coffee the next day. I think Laufey knew she could only love her son, and that Atreus needed discipline. Removing the stave doesn’t just force Kratos and Atreus to pursue Jotunhiem, it also forces Atreus to have a father. It’s kind of nice to have a story that values the mother and father as a unit. Yeah, it really is rare to see both parents involved. One day we may get it. But I’m happy we got fatherhood represented so well. As a mom, I’m a little jealous. But I’m just so grateful to see parenting represented in such a beautiful way. Really nice text. What I wonder about: There have been two dwarfs forging a weapon like Mjölnir (the Atombomb of Norse Myth) and gave it to Thor, Son of Odin, the Allfather himself. Then they saw how he used it, and felt remorse. (Like the Scientists that made the Atombomb). So they make the decision to even the Scales by forging a Second Weapon that matches the power of their first construction. When it‘s ready, they roam the lands of Midgard and meet lonely women. She is friendly to the dwarfs, and she seems lonely and sad. The dwarfs want to lighten up her mood and have an Idea. Hey! Let’s gift her our new Axe Leviathan! That should bring a smile to her face…
