There was one game that was clear I’m not mean I’m Just Too old to pretend I like you veteran shirt that this offense would be abysmal…that was preseason week 3 against the Bengals. The line got completely embarrassed and there was no hope for any QB that wasn’t as athletic as Allen. What do you think about seeing more designed run plays for Allen? Also, I know that people like to say that you don’t need a top 10 WR to make an offense work but it’d be nice for Allen if his receivers would hold onto the ball when it hits them in the hands this year.

He certainly should have more designed runs next season, he is insanely fast and can really bowl people over. As for the I’m not mean I’m Just Too old to pretend I like you veteran shirt point I completely agree. I think we’ll make some major moves this offseason in the draft and maybe even in the FA market Allen’s best case development/comp is Cam Newton. Which means the Bills should use him like Cam Newton. Let’s see if they do. I do expect his designed runs number to go up I’m not as convinced as some Bills fans are that Allen is the real deal but certainly he’s given us more hope then we’ve had in quite awhile. He’s the future for sure, just not sure what that future is yet. I hope, something great. He’s definitely fun to watch and easy to root for. Yep. Just pray for the kid to stay healthy. Cam has been pretty good about it, but I think him being a mountain of a human being helps.

I’m not disappointed in the I’m not mean I’m Just Too old to pretend I like you veteran shirt signing tbh. He was effective when he was on the field healthy. I’ll take healthy Trent Murphy over a lot of other pass rushers in the league. I really hope he can survive a full NFL season next year. You know, I really don’t think I gave him enough credit looking back on it. I meant to place more emphasis on the “not healthy enough” issue but I ended up just sounding disappointed with his overall performance. I think you have a point. Does seem like he performed pretty well when he was actually in the game. One thing about Trent Murphy’s health and a reason why he didn’t seem to have recovered from his injury from the previous season has to do with him being a weight room warrior. I can’t remember which podcast it was but it was either the Bills Beat podcast or a Cover 1 podcast episode with Kyle Trimble.
