What’s been happening to me is I’m not making resolutions this year shirt. I click ready then someone else doesn’t and it freezes on the unclickable readied screen until a whole second one happens. Then it throws me in the lobby and tells me I didn’t ready up. Same here. I also have to relog every 2 hours or so or my friend’s list just stops working. It will just never update. It shows ppl in lobbies when they are in games. Shows them as having been in a game for 78 minutes etc. Until I realized it couldn’t be trusted
What is a resolution?
I spent a few nights assuming my normal crew all decided not to play at their normal time. Yeah, I prefer launcher style clients too for similar reasons. Both Dota and OW have “parent launchers” (Steam and Battle.net) but League doesn’t as Riot doesn’t have multiple games, so we just have the one game and its client. There was that one video about a guy getting an office tour in the riot as a potential hire I believe and he asked what one of the artists were doing. Apparently, the guy had been working on Draven’s axes for months, with your numbers in mind, I actually believe that. Yup. Which is really stupid honestly. They already borrowed so much from Dota when they first made the game, why not just borrow a little more. Because Guinsoo worked on DotA All-Stars and he had some stake in the game. And because DotA 2’s client (made and owned by Valve, not some amateur gamemakers and modders) has nothing to do with DotA.
I’m not making resolutions this year shirt, ladies, v-neck t-shirt, tank top, flowy tank.
For the out of game client itself and its functions, it’s definitely Riot just prioritizing other things. However, the fact that the client split into two, if I remember it correctly, has to do with the fact that the current in-game client cannot be integrated into a single client because it is still bad and needs to be remade from the ground up. Which is silly because Riot has gone back on their word numerous times before. At first, they claimed that the Compendium/Battle Pass was “begging” but then they’ve gone ahead and created their own. All they need to do is stabilize and document the way it communicates with the backend into some kind of API. The community would create an amazing open source client in no time. There were actually efforts to reverse engineer the current client comms and build a new one that way. Do you have an issue where, if you tab out of League ingame (to change music, browse Reddit with your 80-second death timer, check what item to build next, etc.), reopening the game takes like a solid 20 seconds?
Official, I’m not making resolutions this year sweater, hoodie, and long sleeve
I never had this issue before until maybe May. I’m not making resolutions this year shirt. My specs haven’t changed, my internet hasn’t changed. It’s just something that now happens. Really? Interesting. I just assumed it was League because I don’t have this issue with any of my other fullscreen games (WoW, Diablo, Witcher, etc.) I’ll give this a try though. Thanks! I remember when that patch came out, there was a specific fix for that. Google around a bit and you’ll find it. One simple setting change fixed it from taking me ~5s of black screen when alt-tabbing back to nearly instant.
