I’m so sorry you have that image in your head GOD sometimes we worry too much Has Already Take Care Of it shirt. I do too. I live in a country where abortion isn’t legal at all (UAE, I’m in Dubai). Im 26 now but I somehow ended up pregnant at the age of 18 even though I was using the pill. I’m not married, so even being pregnant could have gotten me thrown in jail. I was just starting university and tbh also too scared for my father to find out, so I knew as soon as I took the test that I would need to abort. The thought of jail terrified me. I did let my mother know, and we instantly started trying to figure out how to get to a different COUNTRY to get it done.

I would have preferred the GOD sometimes we worry too much Has Already Take Care Of it shirt as well, which would have meant going to India to a dodgy clinic which accepted out of country patients without having to go through multiple appointments first. Due to me not wanting my dad to know the money was tight as well. It took forever to get the money together and I ended up managing to get a flight to the UK (where I’m from) and letting the clinic know beforehand that I’m coming from abroad. Due to how long it took to get flights and everything sorted out, I ended up getting the abortion just before the cut off date in the UK, on April 20th, when I had found out I was pregnant on 26th December.
Official GOD sometimes we worry too much Has Already Take Care Of it sweatshirt, hoodie
I had to go for the other route – forced GOD sometimes we worry too much Has Already Take Care Of it shirt, and they didn’t make absolutely sure that I won’t see what I gave “birth” to. The image is forever burnt into my brain and to this day I still occasionally cry about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story here. That’s absolutely horrific and this shows how truly brave you are to go through all of this, especially as a teenager I’m so sorry that happened to you and I hope you’re doing okay now. Thank you again for taking the time to read my story and share yours. It helps a lot to feel less alone, especially when it’s so taboo to talk about openly.
