Don’t scratch your head Fuck it lets have a beer and watch the Los Angeles Chargers shirt. He was good as a change of pace, but no way in hell should we be paying him ~4mil a year when we are already paying Shady ~9mil per year. Gil isn’t a lead back and likely never will be. He doesn’t have the stamina. I certainly agree that he isn’t a lead back; sorry if I came off in saying that he isn’t. Nonetheless, I think he played very well as the second back, much better than Williams did when he was second to Gillislee when

Shady was out, and I would’ve to Fuck it lets have a beer and watch the Los Angeles Chargers shirt him around at that price, especially given they let go plenty of their top WR targets. Agree to disagree on the 4mil valuation of Gill. Sure there will be a decline, but I think Shady has an underrated value of making his backups much better than they are. Karlos Williams, Gillislee, Bryce Brown all averaged over 4.5 ypc behind Shady and all of them struggled to be lead backs, even when they played with the exact same OL Shady was using. I really think he makes his backups better. I would agree with saying that Gilmore has the potential to be a top 10 shutdown corner, but so far in his career, he has not been that at all. He’s firmly above average, a low-end #1 corner. It depends on the scheme and players too I mean…. who’s he matching up against week to week? That makes a big difference as there are different types of WR’s as well.

I don’t see how anyone can believe the Fuck it lets have a beer and watch the Los Angeles Chargers shirt are actually better this year than they were last year. At most, you can argue that they are the same if the players they brought can fill the holes of some who left. Last year our receiving corps was decimated by injuries and was an absolute joke, our defense regressed even further, and Rex Ryan continued to make a fool of himself. A lot of people around the league seem to be very very high on McDermott. So if the players we brought in can replace the holes left, McDermott could be more successful than Ryan. I thought about adding him to mine but ran out of time because I didn’t get a chance to look up how Hodges played this past year. I also thought I might be over-valuing him when I saw that Celtics didn’t include him, given that he used to be a Viking, and I didn’t want to be a homer.
