One day, I was talking to a man who was celebrating his 75th birthday. He was tremendously wealthy and successful by the world’s standards. I was talking to him about his accomplishments and he told me, “When I look back over my life, the greatest moments are when I used my gifts to help others get ahead.” He didn’t tell me about his awards or assets. He didn’t tell me about his great travels. There was no satisfaction in what He had become but in what he could help others become. God has placed in our spirits a longing to achieve, to be successful, to accomplish greatness. Ultimately, we are being groomed on this earth to rule and “Forget Prince charming I want reign man“ with Him. Success alone won’t fulfill us and make us happy. What makes us happy is when we use our abilities and success to help other people.
