Thanks! It was made by “Who Made the Cake” in Houston. Dixie chicken now with added Tennessee lamb shirt. They also made my wife’s cake and were a huge pleasure to work with. Highly recommend if you’re looking or know someone who is! Amazing!! I’m sure the cake maker was happy about the fact that they didn’t have to give a shit about if the roof was slanted or not. Gig ‘Em! You know we wondered about making a mock Bottlecap Alley, and we figured we could get all of the caps from the beer we’d drink
What does Dixie mean?
that night and put them around the cake before we cut it. Imagine my disappointment when I see that we’re serving from cans instead. Straight dominoes? Sounds good. But if anyone knows how to play shoot the moon or win 42, I’m definitely down for that. Although, I have yet to find anyone here who knows the game. sadly, I won’t be at this meetup, I’m still out of the country, but if you really want to play, come visit FHK during the fall semester and we’ll play. We’re one of the only places that actually continue to play, haha. I graduated from TCU in 2013. I’m a 5th generation horned frog. My mother was at TCU in the ’70s when they won 4 games in 4 years. My grandfather and his brother were at TCU in the ’30s when we won our national championships. They were in the band so they got to go to a Sugar Bowl where TCU beat LSU 3-2. My grandfather actually tutored Sammy Baugh while Baugh was at TCU. His father was at TCU in the 1910s and was in the first class to graduate after the school relocated to fort worth after the fire. my great grandfathers’ brother in law is Colby Hall.

He played football at TCU in the 1890s and became the dean of Brite Divinity School. The Freshman girl’s dorm is named after him. In fact, there are multiple buildings on campus named after some of my relatives. My great great grandfather did not attend TCU, but he was on the board for many years at the turn on the century. I’ve also had dozens of cousins, aunts, and uncles attend TCU. In the early 90s, my parents would usually watch the bowl games with friends, getting a babysitter for my brothers and I. She’d usually put us to bed around halftime. The 1993 season was when I really became obsessed as Nebraska somehow stayed undefeated. During the 1994 Orange Bowl against Florida State, I snuck downstairs to my dad’s office to watch the second half, and my parents came home to find me in tears on the floor after we lost. I went elsewhere to start college but transferred back to finish up my degree. Attended a walk-on tryout; getting dressed in a practice uniform in Memorial Stadium and taking the field was incredible.

I only applied to 2 schools: FSU and Florida. Dixie chicken now with added Tennessee lamb shirt. I got into both but got a scholarship from FSU so I went there. My dad and siblings went to FSU so I grew up a big fan. I think I would have been happy at most any university, but I really love it here. It’s definitely the place for me. Was a UW fan from ages 0-17. Applied to UW, Penn St, Michigan and WSU as the safety school. WSU ended up being the only school that accepted me. So I went there sight unseen.
