I don’t like the comparison with how she and Ronda handled her defeats. Born to be a stay at home dog mom forced to go to work shirt. Joanna didn’t handle it well, she was definitely in denial, but there’s a huge degree of difference between how Ronda handled her defeat. She completely fell off the map, talked about how she almost killed herself, just flat out disappeared. Her being the champion seemed like all she had. Joanna is being a sore loser but those are incredibly common. She’s already fighting again and has the mind of a champion.
What is born meaning?
I recommend reading her book. The statement “her being the champion seemed like all she had” is something that seemingly rings true for her entire life. I borrowed that book from the library because I wanted to learn more about her life instead of just meeting on her and I’m really happy I did. People shit on her for this or that but she’s really been through a lot and I can’t help but continue to respect her accomplishments. No its really good. It says a lot about amateur competitions and the way of life of the people who fight for a living. Feels are great and all, but have we forgotten the age-old adage here? If Rousey wants to talk shit and then expect sympathy, she’s not getting any. And a little more vulnerable instead of trying to be so heel-like about the whole thing. There’s strength in vulnerability, more than there is in cockiness.
Born to be a stay at home dog mom forced to go to work shirt, ladies, v-neck t-shirt, tank top, flowy tank.
Why? Because if she still was the champ and somehow got a weeny weight amateur man fighter on the ropes we would never be living it down on the news all empowered feminists. It’s like if a suicide bomber failed his attempt to throw a hail mary for good old Allah to the Empire State Building and wrote a book in GBay about how this was all he had in his life… Should we be feeding his ass any sympathy? I agree with you. My comment was definitely a karma whoring joke and I’m not afraid to say it! The way Ronda Rousey handled losing really rubbed me the wrong way and what added to it, as she let herself get defeated by her own mentality. That’s why she didn’t win her comeback fight. That’s why she left MMA. And it’s a big damn shame. I’m neutral on Joanna. I do respect her legacy. I would like to see her be a little more humble.

Joanna handled the loss REALLY poorly. Born to be a stay at home dog mom forced to go to work shirt. She just looks good compared to Ronda because EVERYONE looks good compared to the way Ronda handled her loss unless you go on a rampage and hurt/maim someone afterward. But make no mistake — Joanna didn’t handle that loss well. 0 grace. 0 credit to her opponent. 100% blaming.
